Congrats to the grad!

Congratulations to Nwora Victor Aghadi, Jr., for graduating from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, with a minor in Chemistry. Victor received his diploma on May 10, 2008, three years after arriving in Macomb.

Before walking across the stage, Victor already had a job interview lined up for the following Monday at 10 a.m. He’s interviewing for a position in the lab at a pharmaceutical company. Interestingly, he said it was his minor in chemistry that landed him the interview. The lab is only about 15 minutes from his parent’s suburban Chicago home, and it sounds like a great way to kick start his career.

Then there’s also the ministry opportunities ahead of him. Victor is a tongue-talking, holy-rolling, on-fire-for-God soul-winning member of the Bartlett United Pentecostal Church, led by Jack Yonts and Robert Boettcher. He was scheduled to meet with Pastor Boettcher when he got back home to discuss future ministry possibilities. Victor said Pastor Boettcher is tough and wouldn’t settle for anything less than Victor’s best. Victor has loads of potential, so we’re expecting to hear good things out of him in the future. (I hope you’re reading this, Victor.)

Well done! CONGRATULATIONS to ALL Grads!

Hey young Grads
good show I say
you’ve done it now
you showed us how

You’ve had some good times
You’ve made some good friends
now some will go off
to do it again

So good luck in college
You can do it
Have a real wild time
but don’t over do it

Try to make friends fast
many of the early ones
will be the ones
who last

Unless you love
to get up early
don’t schedule your classes
way too early

And try to get to class
as much as you can
you’ll be glad you did
then you’ll deserve a cold can

But try not to party
too much before class
you’ll more likely attend
and you won’t be an ass

If you fail the easy Calc
don’t take the harder one
just keep your eye on the ball
between all the fun

You’ll be entering
sort of a fantasy land
of reading, writing, and thinking
with those who can lend a hand

So, do your best with grades
but at least finish the task
and soon another graduation
will come at last…

So
CONGRATULATIONS
GOOD LUCK
and HAVE FUN!!!

:)
