Mohrs on the move

The Mohr's new home
It’s Memorial Day, the unofficial start of summer – and what a summer it promises to be for the Mohrs. After six years of ministry in Macomb, we’re moving back to Quincy to work in our home church, Calvary Tabernacle.
This has necessitated several changes, not the least of which is the impending sale of our home. Today (Monday, May 25) we’re cleaning the house, preparing for a final walk-through tomorrow afternoon. We are scheduled to close the sale one week from today. We’ve already begun moving our possessions to our new home in Quincy, and we’re planning to vacate our current residence next Saturday. Come on over, especially if you’ve got a strong back and/or a pickup truck.
Our move also has obvious implications for our careers. Tollie has landed a job with Hicks Pension Services in Quincy; I will remain an employee of Genesis Image Builders, only I’ll now be working part-time from home. Modern technology, specifically the Internet, makes this possible.
Changes also are happening at Calvary Tabernacle. In the past week we secured the use of another worship facility that is approximately three times larger than our current location. We’ll have expanded space for worship, Sunday School, and administrative offices. More importantly, we’ll be in a better location, and our facility will be completely handicap accessible. Needless to say, we’re excited about the possibilities.
On a side note, the latest issue of Outdoor Life arrived in my mailbox over the weekend. The feature for this edition was a list of the 200 best towns for sportsmen. Quincy, Ill. is number 99 on the list, undoubtedly because of its proximity to some of the best whitetail hunting in the Midwest. Too bad I don’t have access to any of that prime hunting ground.
Quincy also happens to be located on the banks of the Mighty Mississippi, home to some great fishing. Just don’t bother trying to eat what you catch, because it’ll probably taste like a mixture of mud and agricultural chemicals.

Congratulations on getting the house sold, and a big congrats on getting the new church building. I certainly look forward to seeing what gets done with the new space, and look forward to worshipping there as I visit family and friends in Quincy. It is good to see a pic of Victor here as well.
