The 8-foot boa constrictor

An eight-foot boa constrictor recently escaped from its owner’s home on South 24th Street here in Quincy. City residents were understandably nervous as the days dragged on with no sign of the snake.

Then yesterday afternoon (Sunday, July 19), my sister-in-law, Haley Deming, 21, and her cousin, Taylor Stark, 17, decided to take the dog for a walk in that particular neighborhood. WGEM, one of Quincy’s local television stations, picks up the story from there.

Congrats to Taylor and Haley for apprehending the snake and saving the city! You’re heroes! I mean heroines!
