Calvary Tabernacle celebrates first service at new facility

Calvary Tabernacle celebrated its first worship service at 1125 Hampshire on Sunday, September 6, with 120 people in attendance. Considering it was the day before the Labor Day holiday, we felt it was quite an accomplishment. Historically, we’ve been lucky to top 75 people on that Sunday.

There were several first time guests in attendance, including family members of the five individuals who were baptized at the conclusion of the service. Our pastor, Randy Pate, immersed them in Jesus name in our brand-new baptistery. It was the perfect way to conclude our first day.

There still are quite a few minor details to be ironed out, of course. Signage must be hung in place, and we’re still waiting on the installation of the backdrop behind the platform. We’re also working through new procedures and protocols for the new building. It’ll take time to get everything as we want it to be.

We’ve taken lots of photos of our new facility and the remodeling process that transformed it from a senior center to a church. Unfortunately, I don’t have access to those right at this moment. As soon as I do, however, I’ll post some so you can see exactly what I’m talking about.  So check back frequently.
